Presentation Typologies

1. Oral Presentation

Each presentation will last for 15 minutes, including 10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for potential questions and answers session
 

2.Virtual Presentation
Virtual presentation is addressed to those students, researchers, and professors who cannot attend the conference in person. It consists of aa power point presentation (with audio) or a video that will be uploaded on the conference website. The presentation will be accessible for all participants during and after the conference

در صورت پذیرش چکیده، نویسندگان محترم می توانند در صورت تمایل به چاپ مقاله کامل در مجلات طرف قرارداد، فایل کامل مقاله را تا تاریخ 20 اسفند 1395 ارسال نمایند.

 
    
زبان کنفرانس انگلیسی می باشد اما نویسندگان ایرانی می توانند چکیده مقاله خویش را به فارسی جهت ترجمه ارسال نمایند. کتاب کنفرانس به زبان انگلیسی خواهد بود.

Jack C Richards has had an active career in the Asia Pacific region and is currently an honorary professor in the faculty of education at the University of Sydney and at the University of Auckland and an Adjunct Professor atVictoria University, Wellington. He is a frequent presenter worldwide and has written over 150 books and articles onn language teaching as well as many widely used classroom texts including the Interchange and Four Corners series.. Recent publications include Key Issues in Language Teaching (Cambridge), Curriculum Development in Language Teaching 2nd edition (Cambridge), Approaches and Methods in Language Teaching 3rd edition (Cambridge), Language Learning Beyond the Classroom (with David Nunan, Routledge) and Creativity in Language Teaching (with Rodney Jones), Routledge.

Jack Richards has active interests in music and arts and supports a number of scholarship programs.  In the musical domain he is sponsor of the Composer in Residence program at Victoria University, Wellington. He has commissioned numerous works for composers, most recently Concerto for Piano and Orchestra by New Zealand composer Gareth Farr. In 2014 the Jack C Richards Decorative Arts Gallery was opened at the Tairawhiti Museum, Gisborne New Zealand. In 2011 he was awarded an honorary doctorate of literature by Victoria University, Wellington, for his services to education and the arts and in 2014 received the Award for Patronage from the Arts Foundation of New Zealand. In March 2016 the International TESOL organization as part of their 50th anniversary honored Jack Richards as one of thee 50 TESOL specialists worldwide to have made a significant impact on language teaching in the last 50 years.

Roy Lyster is Professor of Second Language Education in the Department of Integrated Studies Education at McGill University. His research examines content-based second language instruction and the effects of instructional interventions designed to counterbalance form-focused and content-based approaches. His research interests also include professional development and collaboration among teachers for the purpose of integrated language learning and biliteracy development. He was co-recipient with colleague Leila Ranta of the 1998 Paul Pimsleur Award for Research in Foreign Language Education for their article “Corrective feedback and learner uptake: Negotiation of form in communicative classrooms.” He was co-president then president of the Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics from 2004 to 2008 and serves on the Editorial Boards of Studies in Second Language Acquisition, Language Teaching ResearchJournal of Instructed Second Language Acquisition Research, and the Journal of Immersion and Content-Based Language Education. Hossein Farhady is a former associate professor of applied linguistics at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Tehran. He received his MA in TESL and PhD in Applied Linguistics from UCLA in 1978 and 1980, respectively. His major area of interest is research on various aspects of language assessment.
 
He has taught courses on language testing, research methods, and ESP at the MA and PhD levels for the last fourr decades in Iran, Canada, Armenia, and USA. He has also presented papers in national and international conferences and has widely published on the issues related to language testing. He has published more than 10 books and 50 articles on various topics in applied linguistics in general and in language assessment, in particular. He has directed MA programs in TEFL, two nationwide research projects on EFL/EAP education in Iran, and supervised over 60 MA and PhD theses. He has also directed several test development and test validation projects in Iran and other places in the world.
 
He retired in 2006, moved to US, and worked as a senior scholar and project manager for organizations such as Ordinatee and Lidget Green Corporations in California, Avant Assessment, and Second Language Testing, Inc., in Rockville, Maryland. From 2008 to 2010, he worked as the associate dean of the Department of English Programs at the American University of Armenia. He has also directed projects related to the scoring of Pearson’s new automated language proficiency test and validating Versant test, and received grants from Pearson, ETS, and ILTA.
 
Presently, he is a faculty member at the ELT department at Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey and an adjunctt professor at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) is a professor in the Department of Foreign Language Education at Yeditepe University, where she is also the Dean of the Faculty of Education. Prior to that, she served as the chair of the Department of Foreign Language Education, Faculty of Education, Boğaziçi University (1996-2005). Her research interests include teacher education and professional development, teacher cognition, approaches to teaching language skills, and content-based instruction. She has published in various journals both in Turkey and abroad.
